See a Prescribing Nurse – Get the Care You Need, Sooner

At Upper Hutt Health Centre, we’re always looking for ways to make it easier for you to access healthcare, especially when GP appointments are limited or booked up. One of the best ways to do that is through our Registered Nurse Prescribers (RNPs).

Many patients don’t realise that we have highly skilled nurses available who can assess, diagnose, and prescribe treatment for a wide range of common conditions. Our RNPs have completed advanced postgraduate training and are endorsed to prescribe from an approved list of medications – so you can get the care you need without always needing to see a doctor.

What can a Prescribing Nurse help with?

You can book in with a prescribing nurse for support with many everyday health concerns, including:

• Asthma, allergies, hay fever, and other respiratory issues
• Colds, flu, and other viral illnesses
